Hyderabad is blessed with en number of talents and they are known for their stylish strokeplay whether we talk about Azharuddin or VVS Laxman, batters from Hyderabad have a sense of artistry which makes batting look easier. One such player who has been consistently making a mark for himself in Hyderabad Cricket is Sekhar Addanki. Sekhar is an explosive wicket-keeper batsman who started playing Cricket at the age of 11 under the Coaching of N Prahalad . Sekhar continues to be loyal towards the Coach as he continues to train with him till date. Sekhar did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya School and it was his spark right from the school level which helped him to elevate & represent Hyderabad at State Level.

With close to two decades of experience, Sekhar has so far represented Hyderabad U14, Hyderabad U16 and Hyderabad U25 teams while he aims to make it into the Hyderabad Senior Team. Sekhar is also open to overseas opportunities and his experience as a specialist wicket-keeper batsman can come in quite handy for overseas teams.

Sekhar is currently playing Division Cricket in Hyderabad and he has hundreds across all formats with Double Centuries to his name in both One Days and Test Formats. Sekhar is known for his clean hitting abilities and his ability to play counter attacking cricket from the word go! No wonder he is amongst the few players in Hyderabad to score over 4000+ runs at a strike rate of 175.00 at Division Level in Hyderabad. Sekhar also has a highest score of 157 off 76 balls in T20 format, an innings which came in 2017 in the Pro Corporate T20 Tournament in 2017. At Division Level, Sekhar has amassed close to 4000 runs with a highest score of 227 at an average of close to 32.00 with a stunning rate of 173.99 which just shows how dangerous he can be with the bat. Apart from that, his swift abilities behind the stumps as a keeper has made him a very valuable proposition for any teams he plays for.
