Played at Assiniboine South Ground in Canada, Winnipeg Blues batting first made a total of 279/9 in 50 overs. After losing their opener Karan in the very first ball, Pubudu and Hirusha (70 runs) set the base while Prayag Kumar who came at no.3 took on from there to take his team towards a solid total. It got to be one of the most memorable knocks of Prayag as he displayed impressive red ball temperament stitching his century with brilliance. Prayag scored 119 runs off 107 balls which included 10 boundaries and a handy partnership with Hirusha as well. The rest of the batters batted around him as Winnipeg reached a respected total on board.
Royal Stars in reply were bundled out for just 80 runs thanks to a clinical bowling performance by Winnipeg bowlers. Prayag completely owned the match as he took 3/3 in 4 overs with the ball as well including key top order wickets of Harinder and Guransh as Winnipeg won the match by a massive margin of 109 runs.
Prayag for his all-round heroics was declared ‘man of the match”
