Player Profile–
Very few players in Hyderabad Cricket have managed to achieve the levels of consistency which Nishanth has achieved since last few seasons. Hyderabad is one of the most competitive states when it comes to cricket and to stand out from such a huge competition is indeed challenging.
One such professional cricketer who is making a mark for himself right from his childhood till date is Nishanth Yadav. The 29yr old attacking wicket-keeper batsman started playing cricket at age of 12 under Coach Sudarshan at Mahabubnagar District Cricket Association. Since then, Nishanth has represented Hyderabad at almost all age groups and is now on the wink of making it into the Hyderabad Senior team too. Nishanth represented Hyderabad State Team at U13, U19 and U25 Levels while he has also represented Andhra Pradesh State Team at U14 and U16 Levels. More recently, Nishanth also got selected to RSB, Hyderabad Team to play in All India Civil Services Tourney in Delhi.
From 2007-2024 till date, Nishanth has scored 139 half centuries alongwith 39 hundreds which includes 2 Double Centuries with a Best Score of 231. The best part about his Batsmanship is his clean hitting & his talent to shift gears in no time, Nishanth has a strike rate of close to 140.00 making him the only player in Hyderabad Division to have scored more than 19,000+ runs with an average of 50.00+ across all formats.
A swashbuckling wicket-keeper batsman, Nishanth is a proven match winner across all formats. In the 2021 season, Nishanth was in the probables list of Hyderabad Senior Team for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Nishanth has Centuries in all the formats of the game and his natural game is to attack the bowlers from the word go. With a playing experience of more than 15 years, Nishanth has won many matches for multiple state level teams and clubs he has represented so far.
Nishanth shared with Zoomcricket- I have been playing since 19 years now, my aim has always been to win matches for my teams. My core revolves around hardwork, fitness and constant improvement on my technique. It’s very important for a player to talk with himself, understand what kind of mindset, what kind of stance, what kind of technique needs to be followed. One has to immerse completely in practice sessions and matches while at the same time don’t stress about failures or worry about future. Cricket is a beautiful sport which needs to be enjoyed first. I have worked very hard since last few years and my aim is definately to serve Hyderabad First Class Team, IPL & India Team in the near future. Keeping my fingers crossed!
