Imagine grabbing catch of King Virat Kohli at Wankhede Ground and then getting an appreciation handshake from fielder Colin Munro at the age of just 16! Yes, that’s what Aayush went through at an early age when he was the ballboy at Wankhede grabbing a blinder at boundary ropes of a Virat Kohli six! But that’s not what Aayush is all about…he has much more to him than that one memorable moment of fame!

Aayush has been consistently representing Mumbai right from his U14 days and now he is currently part of the Mumbai U25 probables. One of the most consistent yet under-rated all-rounders, Aayush has played for Mumbai at U14, U16, U19, U23 levels representing his team in multiple BCCI Tournaments. A left arm spinner and a left handed middle order batsman, Aayush is one of those players who certainly has all the ingredients to graduate at higher levels of Mumbai and Indian Cricket.

Aayush is currently part of Mumbai U25 Probables while he represents Air India Team at Top Division Corporate Level and Victory CC at Club Level. Aayush currently trains under Former Indian Test Cricketer Pravin Amre and Rajesh Sanil at Sai Sia Cricket Academy in Mumbai. Aayush has also trained under Former Indian Opener Shiv Sunder Das when he was in U19 NCA Summer Camp.

From playing for Mumbai U14 in Vijay Merchant Trophy to scoring back to back hundreds in Cooch Behar Trophy to performing exceedingly well in West Zonal Matches, Aayush has stamped his mark at State Level with some captivating performances. Aayush has been an equal force to reckon with at Mumbai’s Club Level playing consistently well in Tournaments like Kalpesh Koli, Mahindra Shield, Times Shield, Giles Shield, Harris Shield to name a few.

Aayush shared with Zoom Cricket: “I am aiming to Play One days and Days matches for Mumbai U23. I am trying to have a goal of scoring around 1500 runs in total this season and take 45-50 wickets, that will not only boost my confidence but will also help me to play at higher levels. Talking about my fitness, I am equally working hard on it practicing 2 times in the morning from Monday to Saturday. Once I practice at Academy and once at our probables state camp. I focus on strength/conditioning/prehab/stability work) so I can be game ready for big state level matches”
