Skipper Prayag’s unbeaten 57* steers Winnipeg Blues to a win in MCA Elite Division’24

Crescent CC batting first at Labarriere Park 1 (WPG) made a total of 149/10 in 26.2 overs. Opener Rohit Gupta with 45 runs was the highest scorer while rest of the batters chipped in with cameos. From the bowlers, Milan Khunti with 3/29 was the pick of the lot while skipper Prayag and Simranpreet chipped in with 2 wkts each.

Chasing 150, Winnipeg Blues lost some early top order wickets however they got back into the game in no time courtesy a match winning half century by Prayag Kumar. Prayag led from the front as a Captain anchoring the chase with run a ball 57* coming at no.5. Prayag was well supported by Simranpreet Singh who scored 25* off 14 balls at no.8 as both the batters stitched a crucial stand to take their team home with a memorable win.

Winnipeg Blues won the match by 4 wkts while Prayag Kumar for his all-round show of 57* and 2 wkts was declared ‘man of the match”
