Mississauga Brampton XI opting to bat first in the all-important finals could only manage 92/9 in 20 overs. Most of their batters chipped in with starts but could’nt convert it into something substantial courtesy aggressive bowling by OCA bowlers. OCA bowlers have been nothing but a revelation sliding effortlessly throughout the tournament with impactful and consistent bowling perfomances. Arya Katariya, Dilraj Deol and Yash Padhiar with 2 wkts each were the pick of the lot while Yaksh Patel and Abdullah chipping in with a wicket each.
Chasing 93, Ontario Cricket Academy took mere 9 overs to chase down the total winning the semi-finals with complete authority. Openers Nirav Dhaliwal (39* off 22 balls) and Dilraj Deol (42 runs off 31 balls) made a complete onslaught providing a counter attacking start to the team.
OCA XI won the match by 10 wkts and 11 overs to spare while Dilraj Deol was declared ‘man of the match” for his all-round performance.
