Derek Perera’s OCA rising through the ranks this Season | Canada Cricket

Ontario Cricket Academy – one of the top cricket academies in Canada is now renowned for its quality coaching blending with modern day techniques. OCA founded by Former International Cricketer Derek Perera also happens to be one of the most active cricket academies participating in multiple cricketing tournaments throughout the season to ensure the Academy Players get enough exposure and opportunities. From conducting overseas tours to participating in marquee tournaments, OCA has had a fantastic season where they have raised a level above peers!

Starting off with TDCA U12 Tournament, Ontario Cricket Academy had 2 teams (Blue & Orange) in it where they ended up being the quarter finalists in the tournament. In the U14 TDCA Tournament, OCA were regular season Champions and Finalists while in TDCA U16 they ended up becoming Division Champions.

That’s not all, OCA’s reign continued in further age groups as well becoming Division Champions in TDCA U16 and U18 tournaments. In the TDCA Premier Division, OCA did not only become the division champions but also got a Division Promotion while ending up as Finalists in the Commonswealth League 1st Division where they also got promoted to a higher division. In the BEDCL (Brampton-Etobicoke & District Cricket League), OCA emerged to be the regular season champions while also earning a Division Promotion.

OCA has outperformed in many tournaments this season across age groups and we aim to keep working hard for the upcoming season.
