Yogesh Shinde impresses with a string of consistent performances in Top Division Mumbai Cricket

In the first match vs Parel Sporting Club, chasing 312 at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana Ground in Kandivali, MCA Academy chased down the mammoth total on the back of some brilliant batting by MCA Batters. Opener Harsh scored 59 runs while Aarush Patankar scored 101 runs at no.3. Yogesh Shinde who came at no.4 continued the positive momentum left behind by top order batters as he anchored the chase with a match winning knock of 74 runs in 69 balls. It was an all-round show by Yogesh where he also took 1 wicket and 3 catches adding further more impact into the game as MCA Academy won the match by 1 wicket.

In the second match vs Young Comrade Cricket Club, Yogesh Shinde representing MCA Club scored a solid half century smashing 50 off 63 balls coming at no.5. Yogesh helped his team reach a total of 233 in 43.1 overs which ultimately helped them win the match by 101 runs. However, it was not just with the bat but also with the ball as Yogesh was the pick of the lot taking 5/16 in 7.4 overs becoming one of the very few players to score a half century and also take 5 wkts in the same match in Purshottam Shield Tournament.

More recently in the B Division Times Shield representing Mumbai Police Gymkhana, Yogesh Shinde coming at no.3 smashed an impressive 80 off 135 balls which included 10 boundaries and a six as he continued his string of consistent performances across different top division tournaments of Mumbai.

A fifer, a half century, a century, stunning catches…he has done it all this season!
