Western Railway reaches the finals as Karan smashes a brilliant hundred in the ongoing F Division MCA Corporate Trophy’24

Into the all important semi finals at the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Kandivali, Mumbai, Western Railway Traffic Sports Club opting to bat first put up a more than decent score smashing 197/3 in 20 overs. Opener Ashish Gharat and no.3 batsman Karan Joshi took the game in their hands as both the players contributed with crucial knocks.

Ashish scored 52 off 37 balls while Karan was the X Factor for the opposition as he went on to score a blazing 101* off mere 44 deliveries smashing 14 boundaries and 3 sixes striking at almost 230.00! Karan spared no bowlers coming his way as he covered almost every corner of the ground with his enterprising display of batting.

Mazgaon Dock Sports Club in reply could only manage 152/8 in 20 overs with Atish taking 3 wkts while Vishu Patil and Ajaysinh Solanki chipping in with 2wkts a piece as Western Railway won the semi-finals by 45 runs to reach the finals of the tournament.
