Batting in Kanga League is not the easiest of things and those who know and play cricket know that! Many people even believe that a score of 50 or 70 in Kanga is equivalent to scoring a century in a normal cricket game!
In one such game, Udayan Shukla from Jolly Cricketers made batting look easy courtesy his power hitting vs a quality side like Matunga Gymkhana. Matunga Gymkhana batting first made a total of 205/10 with Jay Chheda coming up with an impressive spell of 6/68.
In reply, Jolly Cricketers were losing wickets at regular intervals but it was Udayan who came in and scored almost half of the team runs with his aggressive strokeplay. Udayan smacked a quickfire 71 which included 9 sixes which could be probably the highest number of sixes smashed in an innings this season in Kanga. Udayan also bagged 2 wkts making it an all-round show. Jolly Cricketers made 147/8 at the end of the game’s play where match ended in a draw.
