Played at the Avery Hill Park Ground, Spartans CC batting first vs Victoria CC did a more than decent job putting up 225/2 in 30 overs. The match witnessed two young debutants for Spartans CC who showed lot of promise under their new Skipper Shekhar who captained the side for the first time. Shekhar ensured in providing opportunities for young lads and made sure everyone got a fair chance.
Spartans CC made a total of 225 in which Chinna was the highest scorer smashing 53 runs followed by 41 runs by Saikrishna. Young 14yr old Deetya also impressed one and all in her debut outing chipping in with 34 runs alongwith Shekhar Reddy remaining unbeaten on 22*
Victoria CC chased down the score successfully winning the match by 6 wkts and almost 2 overs to spare with Karthik, Sahanur and Nilesh coming up with crucial contributions with the bat. From the bowlers, Basim, Rajesh and Krishna took a wicket each while young debutant Vraj took two amazing catches. Even though Spartans lost the match, they took away lot of positives from the game which will certainly help them grow & evolve in their coming games.
