Marsh Me Lennean opting to bat first at Cross Maidan in Mumbai made an impressive total of 229/6 in 20 overs. Openers Ajinkya and Pradeep gave a flying start putting on 74 runs in 8.4 overs. Pradeep Sharma went on to score 83 off 50 balls which had 7 boundaries and 5 sixes while Chinmay Kadam at the middle played a clutch innings in the death overs smashing a quickfire 53* off 16 balls which had 6 sixes in it. It was aggressive batting in the death overs by Chinmay which helped the team post a big total on board to defend.

From the bowlers, Prashant Patil with 4/28 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot. Even in a high scoring match where most of the bowlers went for a beating, Prashant stuck to his line not only providing breakthroughs but also remaining economical throughout the spell.

United Patni Industries in reply scored 183/9 in 20 overs with opener Yash (48 runs) and Hussain (49 runs) being the top scorers. Ayaan Jain (36 off 23 balls) and Arya Gandhi (30 off 15 balls) also played handy cameos at the middle order but it wasn’t enough chasing a massive total as Marsh Me Lennean won the semi-finals by 46 runs.
