Tarun Sharma’s blazing 61 goes in vain for Stars XI in One Champion Plate 16 Tournament’24

MPPINO Super Kings opting to bat first at One Champion 2 Ground in Hyderabad made a total of 219/7 in 20 overs. Even though none of their batters managed to score a half century, they had everyone from top to bottom chipping in with contributions. From the bowlers, Rajesh with 3/24 was the pick of the lot.

Stars XI in reply batted really well and almost crossed the victory line but eventually fell short of just 1 run in the penultimate over which made all the difference. Keeper and Opener Ravi scored 82 off 43 balls while he was ably supported by Tarun Sharma who scored a blazing 61 off just 34 balls. Both Tarun and Ravi stitched 130 runs together 7 sixes and 14 boundaries together! Rajesh who came at no.4 also batted well scoring 48 off 25 balls but rest of the batters below them failed to give support as MPPINO Super Kings got the upper hand in the final over winning a close shave match by just 1 run.
