Sydney’s unbeaten 105* steers United XI CC to finals win in Royal Cup Season VIII

Eagle Rocks opting to bat first at Westeros Cricket Ground in Hyderabad, Telangana made a total of 194/10 in 20 overs with half centuries from middle order batters Chandu and GK. From the bowlers, Vicky with 3/35 and Raja with 2/14 were the pick of the lot while Captain Sydney Joseph also chipped in with an economical spell of 1/24 in 4 overs.

Chasing 195, United XI CC were not off to the best starts with their top 3 falling out cheaply but Skipper Sydney Joseph once again took the responsibility on his shoulders anchoring the chase with an unbeaten century coming at no.4. Sydney scored a blistering 105* off 52 balls which included 7 boundaries and 10 massive sixes to steer his team to a finals win by 5 wkts and 1.2 overs to spare.

Sydney was awarded Man of the Match while he also ended up being the Most Valuable Player of the tournament being the 2nd highest wicket taker, highest run scorer with 3 tons and 29 sixes in entire series!
