Lightning bolts opting to bat first in the all-important finals at Westeros Cricket Ground in Hyderbad, Telangana were all out for 109 runs in 13.2 overs. Most of the batters found it difficult to get going as United XI bowlers did a fabulous job of restricting the opposition to a low total. Sushil Kumar M with 4/14 in 3.2 overs was the pick of the lot while Gokul Joshi and Charan also bagged 3 wkts each.

Chasing 110 looked like a mere formality for Sydney’s United XI team as they took mere 10.3 overs to complete the chase. Opener Sunil Kumar (27 off 14 balls) and Sydney Joseph (26 off 16 balls) provided a flying start courtesy their quick cameos with the bat while Shiva Shankar Rao at the middle order helped United XI sail through with his unbeaten 24* off 18 balls.

Sunil Kumar for his all-round show was declared “Man of the Match” while Captain Sydney Joseph was the Most Valued Player of the Tournament leading from the front for his team scalping 9 wkts alongwith 233 runs including a 35 ball ton in 6 matches.
