Even though Spartans lost some early wickets with scoreboard reading 28/3 and 50/4 at one stage, it was their solid middle order batters taking their team towards 265 runs. Ayyappa (50 runs), Shekar (53 runs) and Srikanth all at the middle order stitched crucial partnerships and came up with crucial half centuries.
Srikantha Reddy at no.7 played a blinder of an innings scoring a quickfire 76 off 42 balls, an innings which included 11 boundaries and 3 sixes at a strike rate of 180.95.
Ilford Greens CC in reply were all out for 158 runs with Rajesh Koundinya coming up with a brilliant spell of 5/41 in 9 overs. Rajesh provided timely breakthroughs while he was well supported by other bowlers. China Katha also chipped in with 3 wkts as Spartans CC won the match by 107 runs.
