Shivam Gupta’s unbeaten 61* at no.9 goes in vain as Jyot Chhaya’170 steers RBI to a win in B Division Times Shield’26

Played at Chiklikar Ground in Vangaon, Reserve Bank of India Sports Club batting first made a total of 330 runs in 107.3 overs thanks to a massive ton by their middle order batsman Jyot Chhaya. Coming at no.4 when scoreboard was 2/2, Jyot went on to score a solid innings of 170 runs in 241 balls which included 20 boundaries and 5 sixes while stitching a 247 run opening stand with Shreyas Pathak who scored 81 runs. From the bowlers, Atharv Dakway with 4 wkts was the pick of the lot.

Automotive Manufacturers Pvt Ltd A in reply were all out for 208 runs. At one stage Automotive was 4/6 and 5/12 before their middle order batters Atharva Dakway and Shivam Gupta rescued the innings with impressive half centuries. Atharwa scored 58 off 70 balls while Shivam Gupta at no.9 scored a heroic 142 ball 61* fighting it out for his team with grit and determination.

RBI in 2nd innings were 115/2 at the end of the game’s play where they won the match on 1st innings lead.
