Ravi Shastri XI opting to bat first at Dream XI DVCA Oval Ground in Mumbai made a total of 229/10 in 67 overs. Even though it was a shaky start by the top order, it was Shahid Khan at no.4 who once again delivered the goods under pressure. Shahid almost scored half of the team runs smashing 104 off 115 balls which included 12 boundaries at a strike rate of 90.43. Shahid who has scored runs at par this season in all the tournaments he has participated in showed great composure at a time when wickets were falling from the other end.
Dilip Vengsarkar XI in reply scored 380/4 dec in 108.5 overs where in wicket-keeper batsman Mann Singhvi at no.4 top scored with 99 runs off 158 balls. Mann missed out on a well deserved half century, however he made his presence felt taking Dilip Vengsarkar XI to a strong position wherein they won the match on 1st innings lead.
