Team Kenya opting to bat first at Simba Cricket Ground in Nairobi made a total of 218/9 in 50 overs with all-rounder Sachin Gill stamping his presence with an impactful century. Kenya lost early wickets and it almost looked like a collapse with scoreboard reading 88/5 and 102/6 at one stage. However, all-rounder Sachin Gill who came at no.5 brought in all his experience guiding his team out of trouble with a match winning hundred. Sachin scored 104* off 93 balls which included 6 boundaries and 8 sixes at a strike rate of 111.83.
Team Tanzania in reply were all out for 172 runs with Vraj Patel being the pick of the lot taking 3 wkts. Sachin also contributed with the ball taking 2/37 in 8 overs.
After consistent performances since last few seasons, both with the bat as well as with the ball, Sachin Gill finally seems to be getting the fruits of his hardwork as he represented Kenya Team and also scored a century for the National Team on a winning cause.
