Kenya after being put to bat first at Sikh Union Sports Club Ground in Nairobi made a total of 287/7 in 50 overs. Opener Rushab Patel scored a gutsy half century scoring 65 off 79 balls while Captain Rakep Patel at the middle order scored 61 runs off 44 balls smashing 9 boundaries and a six.
Defending 288, Nigeria were bundled up for just 93 runs in 20.4 overs courtesy their debutant Sachin Gill weaving magic with the ball. Sachin returned with match winning bowling figures of 5/23 in 7 overs including a maiden. Sachin took key top order wickets including a brilliant hat-trick within the first powerplay. Sachin’s hardwork of many years performing consistently at top division finally reaped rewards as he managed to have a dream debut for Kenya and certainly looks all set to have a promising international career ahead.
