Purav’s all-round show ensures Sporting CC wins in Shillong Cricket League Super Division’24

Sunrise CC after being put to bat first at Polo Ground Shillong made a total of 147/10 in 37.3 overs with their no.3 batsman Pawan Kumar scoring a half century. From the bowlers, Santosh Prasad with 4/27 in 7 overs and Suraj Chettri with 3wkts were the pick of the lot while wrist spinner Purav Agarwal chipped in with 2/30 in 8 overs including the wicket of set batter Pawan.

Chasing 148, Sporting CC did faced a few hiccups with scoreboard reading 37/4 at one stage however their middle order players got them back into the game. Manish Sharma at no.6 scored 46 runs while young Purav at no.7 played a match winning cameo of 31* off 46 balls taking his team towards the victory line in the 35th over as Sporting CC won the match by 3 wkts.
