Pavankumar Yadav is a Professional Spin bowling all-rounder from Mumbai who plays across multiple formats and tournaments. Over the years, Pavan has developed himself to be a promising all-rounder who can bowl full time while also chip in with the bat.
Pavan started cricket at the age of just 5 while he made his professional cricket debut at the age of 18. In a span of 7 years, he has went on to play in major MCA and Corporate tournaments in Mumbai. Pavan started his cricket journey under Coach Jhala Singh and Harish More at Payyade Sports Club while today he practices at Highland Cricket Academy under Coach Sunil Yadav.
Pavan also has played in MCA D to F Division tournaments featuring in marquee tournaments like Kanga League, Kanga Knockout, MCA Corporate Trophy, Inter College MCA Tournament to name a few. For a brief stint, Pavan has also trained at Gary Kirsten Academy under the aegis of Former India Team Coach Gary Kirsten himself.
Pavan who idolizes legends like Shane Warna, MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli shared with Zoomcricket– I want to represent Mumbai Team in the coming years in Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. I want to progress through divisions and play A division cricket to achieve that target of playing for Mumbai. Obviously the ultimate goal is to represent India and I am practicing 4 days a week in morning and evening batches. I also play 2 matches in weekends which helps me improve my game. I also spend atleast 1.5hrs daily on my fitness at the gym while keep a strict tab on my diet.
