Played at Bhiwandi Ground in Mumbai, NP Cricket Academy batting first made a total of 229/7 in 20 overs. Opening the innings, Nisar Shaikh who trains at Elevate Cricket Academy in Mumbai laid the foundation for the innings with a quick-fire half century. Nisar smashed an impressive knock of 51 runs in 24 balls which included 6 boundaries and 4 sixes. Yash and Darshan at the middle order gave crucial cameos of 40’s which led the team towards a strong total to defend.
Perfect XI in reply gave a tough fight however they fell short by 9 runs as they scored 220/4 in 20 overs. Opener Piyush Karkhur who also trains at Elevate Cricket Academy in Mumbai scored an impressive 104 runs off 52 balls which had 14 boundaries and 6 sixes, a knock which almost took the game away from NP Cricket Academy. From the bowlers, Darshan with 1/24 in 3 overs was the pick of the lot as NP Cricket Academy won the match by 9 runs.
