Opener Gauri Kadam smashes a brutal 113* in the MCA Senior Women’s League’23

National CC opting to bat first at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana 1 in Mumbai made a record 1st innings total of 282/1 in 20 overs. Openers Lavanya Shetty and Gauri Kadam stitched a massive 176 run opening stand which set the tone for their innings. Lavanya scored 52 off 57 balls while it was Gauri who grabbed all the attention with some enterprising strokeplay smashing 113* off 64 balls. Gauri smashed 18 boundaries at a strike rate of 176.56 which turned things around for National Cricket Club.

Jolly Friends Cricket Club in reply were all out for 28 runs in 14.2 overs thanks to some real tight bowling by the National CC bowlers. Arya Umesh and Purva Kende with 2wkts each were the pick of the lot while rest of the bowlers also did a great job as National CC won the match by a record margin of 254 runs.

Gauri Kadam who smashed one of the fastest hundreds in the tournament was certainly the standout performer of the match.
