Played at the picturesque Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, Dadar Parsi Colony Sporting Club opting to bat first made a total of 180 runs all out in 50 overs with Maxwell S and Atharva D being the top scorers chipping in with 40’s. CCI bowlers did a fine job with left arm spinner Dhrumil Matkar leading from the front taking 5/63 in 19 overs including 2 maidens.

For Cricket Club of India, the chase looked like a mere formality as Akhil Herwadkar took it in his hands to finish the game. Opening the innings, Akhil anchored the chase with a brilliant 120* off 99 balls, a knock which included 13 boundaries and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 121.21. Akhil who has been an experienced Ranji Player with 41 appearances since 2011 showed his class and quality once again at the top of the order. Akhil was well supported by Akash Anand and Aarya Satpure who batted around him as CCI won the match by 9 wkts crossing the victory line in mere 32 overs.
