Opener Akash’s impressive half century steers Ugraretas CC to a commanding win in Ace Republic Day Trophy’24

Fearless Fighters after being put to bat first at KPP Ryan Global Sports Ground in Bangalore made a total of 138/10 in 19.5 overs. Skipper Naveen P and Sunny were the pick of the lot taking 2wkts each while rest of the bowlers also chipped in well for UCC.

Ugraretas CC chasing 139, wicket-keeper opening batsman Akash anchored the chase with an impressive knock of 50 runs in 43 balls which included 8 boundaries. Akash gave a very solid start to the innings and it was later carried forward by Aalok (34 off 17 balls) and Captain Naveen (16* off 11 balls) who played the finishers role to perfection.

Ugraretas Cricket Club won the match by 6 wkts and Wicket-Keeper Akash was declared ‘man of the match”
