Nikhil Jain’s all-round show ensures a win for Forza Cricket Club in a low scoring thriller in Sportsage Cup 12

Played at Sportsage Cricket Ground in Pune, Forza CC after being put to bat first could only manage a total of 117/6 in 20 overs. Opener Samir Singh scored 41 off 46 deliveries while Nikhil Jain at the middle order scored 34 off 35 balls which included 5 boundaries. The wicket did offer some support to the bowlers but Nikhil and Samir ensured that their team reaches a somewhat respectable total to defend.

Defending a low total of  118, Park Hitters Pune were bundled out for 90 runs in 16.4 overs as Forza CC bowlers did an excellent job of restricting them under 100 runs. Shailesh Ghule took 2 wkts conceding just 1 run while Amarjit and Aniket Karde bagged 3wkts a piece being the pick of the lot. All-Rounder Nikhil Jain contributed with the ball as well taking 2/19 in 3 overs as Forza CC won by 27 runs.

Result: Forza Cricket Club won by 27 runs, Nikhil Jain declared ‘man of the match
