Nikhil Jain continues his Excellent Form with the bat, this time a 42 ball 99 in Designers Premier League’22

Played at Brilliants Academy Ground in Pune, DPL Sinhagad Panthers opting to bat first made a massive total of 220/7 in 20 overs. After a decent opening start where in openers put on 30 runs in the first 4 overs, it was Nikhil Jain who came in and changed the course of the match. Nikhil went on to score a stunning knock of 99 runs off mere 42 deliveries, a swashbuckling innings which included 10 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 236.00. Nikhil who stayed at the crease for just 11 overs made maximum impact signaling the excellent form he has been in throughout the season. Apart from Nikhil, Vimal Hansraj at no.4 also scored 41 runs off 25 balls.

DPL Lohgad Emperors were all out for 133 runs as none of their batters apart from Ruchit J (43* runs) at the middle order could make any impact. Infact 4 batters from their top 6 were dismissed for ducks. Ashutosh K with 3/18 was the pick of the lot while Abhishek Dave, Nayan Bhansali and Samir Yadav bagged 2 wkts each.

Result: DPL Sinhagad Panthers won by 87 runs, Nikhil Jain declared ‘Man of the Match’
