Ugraretas Cricket Club opting to bat first at Rail Wheel Factory Ground in Bengaluru made a total of 159/8 in 20 overs. Ugraretas CC who were off to a disastrous start with scoreboard reading 21/4 and 46/6 at one stage got back into the game thanks to their senior pro Naveen P who scored a very crucial half century at the middle order. Coming at no.7, Naveen scored 60* off 45 balls rescuing his team out of deep trouble as he plonked 2 sixes and 2 boundaries while also stitching a vital partnership with Ganesh Rajan who scored a handy knock of 30 runs at the lower order.
Star XI Agiles on the back of their opener Abhishek Singh (80 runs off 46 balls) gave a tough fight and almost took the game away. It was a well fought game which remained exciting till the very last bowl. The match eventually ended in a tie as both the teams got their scores levelled. Ganesh Rajan took 3/21 being the pick of the lot while Naveen P, Suraj Singh and Aalok Singh bagging 2 wkts each.
Result: Match tied, Ganesh Rajan declared ‘man of the match” for his all-round show.
