MV Rao into the honors board in his debut outing for Spartans CC with a scathing fifer in Essex & East London Cricket League’25

Spartans CC, Essex opting to bat first at Good Mayes Park Ground in London posted a decent total on board putting up 212 runs in 32.5 overs. After losing the top order wickets in quick succession, Nageswara with 38 runs off 31 balls and MV Rao with a quick 45 off 32 balls which included 4 boundaries and a six. Both the batters provided crucial cameos helping Spartans reach a defendable total on board.

Victoria Park CC in reply were all out for just 80 runs in 29 overs thanks to tight bowling performance by Spartans bowlers.  It was MV Rao owning the match as he ran through the opposition’s batting line up with a match winning spell taking 5/16 in 8 overs including 2 maidens. MV Rao’s debut performance won hearts as well as mention in the honors board!

Rakesh Chowdary also bowled well taking 4/18 in 9 overs including 2 maidens as Spartans CC won the match by commanding margin of 132 runs.
