Mumbai dominates Nagaland on Day 1 as Awais Khan smashes a massive 152 in U19 Cooch Behar Trophy’24

Team Nagaland batting first were cleaned up for 78 runs in 35.5 overs with only two batters managing to score in double digits. Mumbai bowlers did a commendable job putting up a combined bowling effort with Naman Pushpan being the pick of the lot taking 3/18 while Vedant, Meet and Abhay bagging 2wkts a piece.

Mumbai team in reply scored 274/3 in 54 overs before the end of the game’s play with Awais Khan scoring an impressive century. Opening the innings, Awais went on to score 152 runs in 159 balls which included 15 boundaries and 5 sixes. Awais also stitched crucial partnerships with Amit Jaiswal (61 runs) and Abhigyan Kundu (30 runs) as Mumbai Team look in a commanding position on Day 1.
