Modern English School defeats General Education Academy in Harris Shield Tournament’24

General Education Academy batting first at PJ Hindu Gymkhana ground were all out for 123 runs 46.2 overs with Amogh Patil’s 35 being the highest score at the middle order. From the MES Bowlers, Shashwat Naik impressed one and all being the pick of the lot as he took 4/30 in 13 overs which included 4 maidens.

Modern English School (Chembur) by Achievers Cricket Academy in reply scored 229/9 dec in 58.1 overs. Devesh Birje (38 runs), Risabh Sadake (37 runs), Shashwat Naik (37 runs) and Pranav Iyengar with 31 runs were the top scorers for MES. Shashwat was the pick of the lot in 2nd innings too bagging 3 wkts.

General Education Academy in 2nd innings batted for 45 overs with scoreboard reading 167/8 before the end of the game’s play where Modern English School Team by Achievers Cricket Academy won the match on 1st innings lead. Shashwat who overall took 7 wkts in the match was declared ‘player of the match”
