Left-Hander Jay Jain continues to impress, this time with a flashy 125* in U23 Shatkar Trophy’23

Played at MIG Cricket Ground in Bandra, MCA B after being put to bat first made a total of 236/10 in 48.5 overs which included half centuries from Sahil Jadhav (67 runs) and Bhargav Patil (59 runs). From the bowlers, Dev Patel was the pick of the lot taking 5/42.

MCA C chasing 237 made it look easy thanks to their stylish left hander Jay Jain who enthralled everyone with his enterprising strokeplay. Jay anchored the chase from start to end scoring a brilliant 125* off mere 107 balls which included 14 boundaries and 3 sixes. Jay was well supported by Saurabh Singh (62 runs) and Rohan Gajjar (40 runs) as MCA C won the match by 8 wkts chasing it down in mere 34.2 overs.

Jay in 2022-23 season smashed 1233 runs in 31 matches at an impressive average of 48.1 has further made a strong case for himself with this confident looking hundred!
