Maskati Cricket Club after being put to bat first at Mahim Juvenile Ground in Mumbai were all out for 53 runs in 21.1 overs. The bowler who inflicted maximum damage was Ritesh Bohra, a promising left arm pacer on the block who rattled the opposition batters with his pace. Ritesh returned with excellent bowling figures of 5/12 in 6.1 overs denting Maskati’s top order. Ritesh’s spell also included 4 maidens as he grabbed everyone’s attention on the field with his promising performance. Ritesh was also the highest wicket taker in U23 Selection tournament where he had taken a fifer in his career’s first ever summer camp.
Wellingdon CC in reply scored 160/4 before they declared their innings after batting for 33.3 overs. All-Rounder Bhavesh Patel who came at no.5 played an impressive innings scoring a crucial half century. Bhavesh scored 51* off 64 balls which had 5 boundaries and 2 sixes. Maskati CC in 2nd innings on the back of Bhavesh Patel’s 4/8 again had a difficult time scoring 43/7 in 20 overs before the end of the game’s play where Wellingdon CC won the match on 1st innings lead.
