Played at Theem College of Engineering in Mumbai, CPL U14 Sion Team batting first made a total of 160/10 in 24.1 overs. Opener Keith laid the platform for Sion team as he provided a blazing start through his counter attacking half century. Keith scored 64 off 53 balls which included 8 boundaries and 1 six. From the bowlers, Veevek Sarvankar with 3/27 in 4.1 overs including a maiden was the pick of the lot.
It was a tough fight where the match went till the very last ball of the game as Churchgate Team just fell short of 3 runs in the final over. Veevek Sarvankar opening the innings scored a solid run a ball 65 which included 10 boundaries while stitching a good 2nd wicket partnership with Tribhuraj (38 runs). However, the rest of the batters could’nt capitalize after the fall of their wickets as U14 Sion team won by a very close margin of 3 runs.
