Reliance Group Sports Club opting to bat first at Oval Ground in Mumbai made a total of 141/7 in 20 overs with all their batters chipping in with starts but none of them being able to convert into big individual score which could have possibly helped them post a total around 160-180. From the bowlers, Kamal Passi with 2/21 was the pick of the lot while rest of the bowlers chipping in with a wicket each.
CGST Mumbai chasing 142 were struggling at one stage with scoreboard reading 35/3 in the first 6 overs got back into the game courtesy a brilliant partnership by Skipper Yash Chauhan and wicket-keeper batsman Karan Vasshodia at the middle order. Both the batters smashed match winning half centuries putting up a 94 run stand for the 4th wicket. Karan who came at no.5 remained unbeaten anchoring his team towards the victory line through his impressive 50* off 39 balls, a knock which included 3 fours and 3 sixes as CGST won the match by 5 wkts and an over to spare.
