Jayy Jain’s crucial 53 at the middle order steers Bank of Baroda to a 3wkt win in MCA Corporate Trophy’24

Nirlon Sports Club after being put to bat first at Bombay Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai made a total of 160/10 in 20 overs. Nipun Panchal at the lower order scored a fighting 63 off 35 balls alongwith Amogh’s unbeaten 46 at the middle order in an otherwise dismal batting performance with no batters managing to score in double digits. From the bowlers, Krushang Patel and Varun Sood with 3wkts each were the pick of the lot.

Bank of Baroda were off to a decent start with opener Rohan Kadam giving a flying start with a knock of 47. BoB did lost some wickets in between but it was their in-form left hander Jayy Jain once again delivering the goods with a match winning half century. Jayy at no.5 anchored the chase with a 36 ball 53 which included 6 boundaries and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 147.22 as BoB crossed the victory line in the final over winning the match by 3 wkts.

Jayy has been in great form overall this season amassing almost 1300 runs at an average of 55.1 across multiple top division MCA Tournaments.
