Jayy Jain’s 143 ensures a massive win for RR Sahuraja XI in MCA Shalini Bhalekar Trophy’23

RR Sahuraja XI after being put to bat first at MIG CC Ground scored 194/10 in their first innings with Himanshu Singh at the middle order scoring 43 runs. From the bowlers, Atharva Bhosale with 5/48 and Saurabh Singh with 4 wkts were the pick of the lot. Sanjay Bangar XI in reply scored 249 runs with half centuries by Harsh Rane and Ajit Yadav.

RR Sahuraja XI in reply gave a fitting comeback in the 2nd innings posting a total of 317/7 dec in 51.4 overs. Even though, it was a shaky start by the top order but left hander Jayy Jain once again delivered under pressure notching up 4th 50+ score in his last 5 MCA Innings. Jayy who scored a match winning 167 in his previous outing made it back to back hundreds in Shalini Bhalekar Trophy this time scoring a spending knock of 143 runs in 127 balls. Jayy smashed 19 boundaries coupled with 5 sixes as he took the game away from opposition in no time. Jayy was well supported by Rugved More who scored 87 runs.

Sanjay Bangar XI chasing 286 were cleaned up for just 76 runs courtesy a brilliant bowling performance by RR Sahuraja bowlers. Himanshu Singh took 4/17 and Soham Dhamale took 3/17 as RR Sahuraja XI won the match by 210 runs.
