After losing both the openers early, it was the in-form Jayy Jain at no.3 who changed the script of the game with his fearless batting. Jayy went on to score a match winning knock of 106* off mere 54 balls which included 9 boundaries and 7 sixes at a strike rate of 196.30. Jayy was in a different zone altogether as he has been throughout the season effortlessly taking on the bowlers. Jayy was well supported by Swayam Waghmare who scored run a ball 30 playing the supporting role to him.
Apollo CC in reply gave a tough fight but ultimately fell short by 4 runs in the final over as they scored 165/9 in 17 overs. Most of their batters got starts but were not able to convert them into substantial scores. From the bowlers, Harikesh Yadav with 3/36 in 4 overs was the pick of the lot as Parsee Gymkhana won the match by 4 runs. Jayy for his electrifying hundred was declared “Player of the Match”
