
Bank of Baroda after being put to bat first at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana Ground in Mumbai made a total of 253/10 45.4 overs. Akash Anand and Rahul Dalal at the top order smashed gritty half centuries for BOB while Sagar Mishra from C.GST was the pick of the lot with 4 wkts.
CGST in their 1st innings were all out for 165 runs with Akshay Karnewar at no.7 scoring 54 runs. KC Carriapa was the pick of the lot from BOB taking 5/72 in 20 overs.
Bank of Baroda in 2nd innings struggled with the bat scoring 253 runs same as their 1st innings score thanks to a fighting innings by Jayy Jain. Not a single batter in 2nd innings managed to score 20+ with the bat while it was this young southpaw who grabbed everyone’s attention scoring almost 75% of the team’s total single handedly.
Jayy went on to score a massive 175* off 151 balls, a one of a kind innings which included as many 11 sixes striking at 115.89. Jayy displayed great confidence taking on the bowlers even when wickets were falling from the other end. With a final total of 342 for CGST, they chased it down and won the match by 2 wkts courtesy half centuries by Ajinkya Patil (63 runs) and Rohan Marwaha (88 runs).
