Hrishikesh’s 97 & Kshitij’s 7wkt haul steers Blue Duck Holiday Pvt Ltd to a win in Chanawala T40 Trophy’24

Blue Duck Holiday after being put to bat first at New Era, Azad Maidan in Mumbai made a total of 238/5 in 40 overs. Captain Hrishikesh Puranik led from the front with a fabulous knock of 97 setting the tone for Blue Duck’s innings. Hrishikesh Puranik scored 97 off 82 balls missing out on a well-deserved century as he smashed 14 boundaries and 2 sixes while stitching crucial stand with keeper Ajinkya Deshpande (53*) at the middle order. Vedant Patil coming at no.7 also scored an unbeaten half century smashing 50* off 39 balls as Blue Duck Holiday Pvt Ltd made a total of 238/5 in 40 overs.

Defending a total of 239, Empire Industries Ltd were cleaned up for 99 runs in mere 21 overs courtesy a brilliant spell of bowling by Kshitij Metkari who ran through opposition’s batting line up. Kshtij Metkari once again the star performer with the ball as he was unstoppable taking 7/19 in 6 overs including 2 maidens helping his team Blue Duck Holiday Pvt Ltd win the match by 139 runs and also taking home Man of the Match award.
