Sporting Union Club batting first at Oval Maidan in Mumbai made a total of 217/10 in 42.3 overs. It was a shaky start at the beginning with scoreboard reading 2/2 until opener Bankim Dhimmar and no.4 batsman Hrishikesh Puranik rescued the team with a heroic partnership of 116 runs for the 3rd wicket. Hrishikesh Puranik played a gritty innings of 76 runs in 86 balls which included 8 boundaries as rest of the batters chipped in with starts as Sporting Union crossed the 200 run mark in 42.3 overs.
Hrishikesh soaked in the pressure well and used all his experience to put his team back into a strong position.
Young Men’s Christian Association in reply were all out for 200 runs in 42.2 overs with Prasad Kurne bagging 4 wkts while Aayush Ambekar and Raj Gupta bagging 2wkts a piece as Sporting Union Club won the match by 17 runs.
