CCI opting to bat first at the iconic Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai posted a massive total of 323/3 in 45 overs. Opener Akhil Herwadkar set the tone for the innings keeping the scoreboard ticking staying busy between the wickets. Even after losing a quick wicket, Akhil and Rudra Dhanday stitched a big partnership of 176 runs for the 2nd wicket which brought CCI into a strong position in the game. Left-handed Akhil scored a solid 122 off 117 balls which included 14 boundaries and 2 sixes while Rudra Dhanday scored 104 off 99 balls. Coming at no.3, Rudra supported opener Akhil as he smashed 12 boundaries striking at 105.00+
Sind Sports Club in reply were all out for 138 runs in 34.1 overs with Dhrumil Matkar bagging 3 wkts. Alongwith Dhrumil, Badre Alam and Kartik Mishra also chipped in with 2 wkts each as CCI won the match by a healthy margin of 185 runs.
