Into the all-important finals at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, it was a dream moment for many cricketers to play at the legendary ground for the finale of MCA President Cup. GCH opting to bat first made 164/5 in 20 overs. Opener Vaibhav Lande top scored with run a ball 40 while Vishal Bhilare and Pranay Patil scoring 31 respectively. Vaibhav Chandekar at no.6 scored a crucial 39 off 34 balls which included 2 sixes helping GCH cross the 150 run mark in 20 overs.
Bombay Union Sports Club in reply could only manage 123/7 in 20 overs thanks to some impressive tight bowling by the GCH bowlers. From the bowlers, Vishal Bhilare was the pick of the lot taking 3/7 in 2 overs while Saeed Khot taking 2 wkts.
Result: Garware Sports Club won the match by 41 runs and emerged Champions of of G&H Division MCA President Cup’24
