Central Railways team after being put to bat first at Western Railway Ground in Mumbai were all out for 139 runs in their first innings courtesy a fifer by Pushkaraj Chavan and 4 wkt haul by Dhrumil Matkar. Mumbai Customs in reply scored 192 runs in their 1st innings gaining a lead of 53 runs.
It was time to rebound for Central Railways and they did managed to put a better show than their 1st innings courtesy a brilliant knock by Gandhar Bhatawadekar at no.4. Gandhar came in when Central Railways had lost some quick top order wickets but he held fort from one end and it was an innings of full flourish as he scored 91 off 123 balls smashing 8 fours and 2 sixes top scoring in the match for Central Railways.
With a target of 185 in the 2nd innings, it didn’t seem like a difficult task for Mumbai Customs as they won the match by 8 wkts courtesy an unbeaten partnership between Swapnil Pradhan (65*) and Prasad Pawar (107*)
