Dadar Union SC opting to bat first on Islam Gymkhana’s home ground made a total of 163/5 in 35 overs. The top order players gave starts while Anuj Giri (38 runs) and Owais Shaikh (29 runs) at the middle order the top scorers for Dadar Union. From the bowlers, Aditya Lokhande and Rakib Ali were the pick of the lot from Islam Gymkhana.
Defending a total of 164, the pressure was certainly more on Dadar Union bowlers to contain Islam Gymkhana on their homeground. However, it was speedster Zaid Patankar who provided a great opening spell taking damaging the top order of Islam Gymkhana. Zaid who has also been part of KKR Squad in the nets this season looked in great touch ruffling the feathers of top order batters.
Islam Gymkhana even though gave a tough fight but were all out for 159 runs falling short of just 2 runs. Zaid was the pick of the lot taking 3/26 in 7 overs with 1 maidens. Apart from Zaid, Ashely D Souza and Adit Degaonkar also bagged 3 wkts each as Dadar Union won the match by 3 runs.
