Fast Bowler Zaid makes his A Division Debut with a Bang for Parsee Gymkhana in A Division Kanga League’23

One of the promising fast bowling prospects of Mumbai Cricket, Zaid Patankar who has already represented Mumbai U16 & U19 is making a mark for himself this time making his A Division Debut for Parsee Gymkhana in the iconic Kanga League.

Parsee Gymkhana after being put to bat first were all out for 84 runs with Sylvester D Souza being the top scorer with 23*. From the bowlers, Amol Tanpure was the leading wicket taker taking a fifer.

The Powerful Police Gymkhana team received an equal tough fight and were rattled by the opening spell of Youngster Zaid who took 3/14 in 4 overs including a maiden. Zaid made his presence felt in the very 1st over itself taking 2 wkts in his first over. Yash Dicholkar also bagged a fifer, however, Police Gymkhana crossed the 1st innings trail declaring their innings at 85/8.

Parsee Gymkhhana in the 2nd innings batted for 14.3 overs with scoreboard reading 52/1 before the end of the game’s play where Police Gymkhana won the match on 1st innings lead.
