Fast Bowler Moin Khan takes a 6wkt haul including hat-trick for Sponsor XI in 75th Salar Jung Tournament’25

Young Mohmeddan CC opting to bat first on Islam Gymkhana Ground made a total of 208/10 in 19.5 overs. Opener and Captain Jay Bista led from the front with an impressive half century scoring 79 off 44 balls which included 11 boundaries and 3 sixes. Anish Chaudhery at no.3 scored an equally impactful knock of 73 runs coming in mere 38 balls which included 9 boundaries and 3 sixes.

However, despite such a solid start in the first 10 overs, fast bowler Moin Khan brought some joy into Sponsor XI team as he took the wicket of set Jay Bista and went on to clean up the middle and lower order with a spell of 6/35 in 3.5 overs. Moin also bowled a wonderful death over where he took a hat-trick removing Badrey Alam and Asif Shaikh in the final over.

Sponsor XI in reply were all out for 143 runs in 20 overs as most of their batters were not able to convert their starts into impactful scores.

Result; Young Mohmeddan CC won by 65 runs.
