Chhattisgarh skipper continues his Golden Run, this time a 121 vs Tamil Nadu in Vijay Hazare Trophy’22

Played at Alur KSCA Cricket Ground, Tamil Nadu Team after being put to bat first posted a total of 340/6 in 50 overs.  Opener Sai Sudarshan and Narayan Jagdeesan both scored hundreds as they put on a opening stand of 233 runs in 35 overs setting a perfect stage for Tamil Nadu. Ravi Kiran with 3/69 in 10 overs and Mayank Yadav with 2 wkts were the pick of the lot.

Chhatisgarh Team who lost both their openers early got back into the game thanks to their dependable skipper Harpreet Singh Bhatia who revived hopes for Chhattisgarh with a brilliant hundred. Harpreet coming at no.3 scored 121 off 129 balls which included 11 fours and 2 sixes. Amandeep Khare who came at no.4 also scored 115 runs off 99 balls as both Harpreet and Mandeepp put on a record 214 run stand for the 3rd wicket.

Harpreet who scored 2 back to back half centuries in his previous two outings backed it up with a hundred continuing his stellar show in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Chhattisgarh gave a tough fight on the back of Harpreet and Amandeep but eventually fell short of 14 runs as they ended their innings at 326/4 in 50 overs.
