
Cricket Club of India batting first on Bombay Gymkhana Ground made a total of 187/8 in 20 overs. All-rounder Akash Parkar at no.7 was the highest scorer with an unbeaten 53* off 28 balls which included 4 big sixes in it! From the bowlers, Deepak Shetty with 3/32 and Harsh Tanna with 2/44 were the pick of the lot from Bombay Gymkhana team.
Chasing 186, Bombay Gymkhana almost took the game away giving a tough fight to CCI team. Skipper Bhupen Lalwani opening the innings perfectly anchored the chase batting from start to end as he scored a fluent 85* off 62 balls which included 9 boundaries and 3 sixes. Bhupen was well supported by Sumeir (33 runs) and Onkar (28 runs), however, CCI bowlers did a wonderful job in the death overs taking key wickets which broke the momentum of Bombay Gymkhana.
CCI ultimately had the upper hand in the final over of the game where they eventually won the match by 2 runs.
